DETAIL VIEW OF KHELO INDIA 2025 IN A NUTSHELL

Dates:

  • November 24 to December 5, 2025.

Location:

  • Rajasthan is hosting.
  • Seven host cities: Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kota, Bharatpur.

Participants:

  • Over 5,000 university athletes expected.
  • Around 200 universities.
  • The games are for under-25 athletes.

Sports / Disciplines:

  • 23 medal sports + 1 demonstration sport (Kho-Kho).
  • New additions in 2025: beach volleyball, canoeing & kayaking, cycling.
  • Some of the sports: archery, athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, fencing, football, hockey, judo, kabaddi, mallakhamb, rugby, shooting, swimming, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling, yogasana, etc.

Scale & Significance:

  • First time Rajasthan is hosting the KIUG.
  • There was a launch ceremony (Amer Fort, Jaipur) for the logo, mascots, torch, jerseys, and anthem.
  • Mascots: Khamma & Ghani, inspired by Rajasthan’s camel and the local greeting “Khamma Ghani.”

Broadcast:

  • The games will be broadcast via Prasar Bharati / Doordarshan.


Logo: The logo features

  • Hawa Mahal, symbolizing Jaipur’s royal heritage and grace,
  • Ranthambore Fort, representing strength, strength, and tradition
  • Sand dunes, reflecting Rajasthan’s desert landscape
  • Windmills, symbolizing modernity, sustainability, and energy
  • Pink color palette, a tribute to Jaipur, the “Pink City”.


Mascots: Khamma and Ghani , which embody Rajasthan’s spirit and culture.
